Classes for Healthcare Professionals
ACLS - Recert
To enhance learning for the health care professional in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Pre-Requisites: Current BLS Provider certfication and current ACLS. It is mandatory that you supply a copy of both cards. Cost is $140.
ACLS- Full Course
To enhance learning for the health care professional in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
This is a two day class!
Pre-Requisites: Current BLS Provider certfication. It is mandatory that you supply a copy of your card. Cost is $170.
BLS Healthcare Provider - Full Course
This course is designed to teach the updated skills of CPR for victims of all ages, use of ventilation with a barrier device, bag mask device, and use of automated external defibrillator.
This course also offers a review on FBAO
Cost $ 65 for full course
BLS Healthcare Provider - Renewal Course
This course includes a review and update of techniques and skills of CPR for victims of all ages, use of ventilations with a barrier device, bag mask device and use of automated external defibrillator ( AED ).
This course also offers a review on FBAO.
Cost is $50 for renewal course.
Must have current BLS for Healthcare Provider Card to take the renewal course.
EKG Class
5 day class. 10am to 2pm. Class is designed to give the healthcare professional with limited or no previous EKG experience the tools necessary to perform basic electro cardiogram interpretation.
Cost is $170.
Hemodynamic
This course will provide the critical care nurse with the basics of invasive line monitoring. Course topics include reviews of arterial line, CVP line, and pulmonary artery catheter monitoring, waveform analysis, cardiac functioning and potential complications. Case studies are included in order to help the participant interpret data and apply the principles of hemodynamic monitoring.
Cost: $40 (includes all course materials).
I.V. Class
This course will provide the nurse with the theoretical knowledge needed for initiating and maintaining intravenous therapy. Course topics include a review of PICC and POC catheters. This class consists of a self-study module followed by a hands-on module in a classroom setting.
Cost: $50 (includes all course materials).
PEARS
PEARS is for Healthcare Providers who might encounter Pediatric patients in their profession but who do not routinely provide care for care for children with high-acuity illness or injury. Cost is $140.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
This course is for Health Care Professionals who encounter Pediatric patients. PALS FULL is a two day course emphasizing the early recognition and management of the critically ill and injured child. - Fee $170.
PALS Renew is a 1 day refresher course if your current PALS certification has not yet expired. - Fee $ 140.
Preceptor Class
Program is designed to teach staff nurses to precept new staff members. It will teach the preceptor how to assess for learning needs, make a teaching plan, implement the plan and evaluate the result. cost is $50.
Surgical Course
Required for all RN's caring for Surgical Patients!
Includes 4 modules:
Receiving the post-op patient
Post-op complications
Pain managment
SCIP protocols
Ventilator Class
A 7-hour course which includes: Indications for tracheal intubation, preparing the patient, assisting with endotracheal intubation, securing tubes, suctioning, trauma & complications, equipment, etc.
Cost is $75.
