The Warren Hospital Balance Center, in association with AmeriBalance LLC, is one of the first facilities in the greater Lehigh Valley region dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of balance problems. The center provides state-of-the-art computerized testing services and specialized treatments.

Dizziness and unsteadiness may be caused by inner ear or vision problems, weak muscles and joints, illnesses such as Parkinson's or Meniere's Disease, or medications. Constant dizziness or instability may not only limit your independence, they can also result in a serious fall, one of the major causes of trips to the emergency room and nursing home admissions.

Tests provided at the Balance Center include computerized balance testing, which provides information about the interrelationship between the patient's vision, inner ear, and joint functions, and video electronystagmography, which records involuntary eye movements and is used to determine whether ear nerve damage is the cause of dizziness or vertigo.

Based on the diagnosis, treatment may include repositioning maneuvers to gently move misplaced inner ear crystals back into place, and exercises to strengthen the muscles and joints involved in balance.
