Our 80th anniversary fund drive
"Would the community leaders who first gathered 80 years ago to open a hospital in a former school be surprised at the modern, full-service facility that Warren Hospital is today? I don't think so.
"I believe these leaders would assume that the energy, vision and commitment that they brought to the hospital's birth would be carried on by generations to come. And, as you can see by scanning our Web site, it has.
"For 80 years our community has guided and supported Warren Hospital from its humble beginnings in the William E. Harwig School. Today we are a technologically advanced community hospital with outstanding physicians, dedicated nurses and support staff, committed volunteers and auxilians and a visionary Board of Trustees.
"At every step since 1923, new generations of our community have come forward to support Warren Hospital. Since 2002 our community has contributed more than half a million dollars to our multi-faceted renovation and expansion project, "The New Face of Warren Hospital."
"Yet still more money is needed …
"The next phase of our plans focuses on renovations to patient rooms, including the Intensive Care Unit where the sickest patients are cared for.
"Funding for this project must come in addition to the hospital's regular operating budget that includes providing almost $4.2 million worth of charity care to our community. For that reason, I am personally asking you to join me in supporting the hospital at this special time in our history. Your donation of any amount will help ensure that Warren Hospital is here to serve your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in the years ahead."
