Paying for home care

Medicare and most insurance plans cover home health services. Some insurances require that the patient pay deductibles or co-pays.

Most insurance plans require that the patient be homebound. This means leaving the home is difficult and absences from the home are primarily to keep medical appointments. Services need to be provided under a plan of treatment established and approved by a physician.
