The Heart of the Matter

Information is power. Whether one-on-one or in groups, the doctors and staff of the St. Luke's Heart Center are committed to helping increase knowledge about preventing heart disease or managing heart conditions.

Heart Health Education Series

Four times-a-year, our cardiologists, cardiac surgeons and doctors from other specialties moderate discussions about a number of heart-related topics including:

  • Women's Heart Health and Emotional Health
  • Athletes/Exercise Enthusiasts and their Hearts
  • Traveling: Important Tips for those with Heart Disease

Community Education

St. Luke's promotes the prevention of heart disease in the community. Our nurses and physicians regularly conduct:

  • Blood pressure checks
  • Cholesterol screenings
  • Stroke screenings
  • Checks to evaluate a person's likelihood of developing heart disease

Our clinicians regularly present educational talks in the community on heart-disease related topics.
