Easton, PA (5/3/2012) - Last week, employees of St. Luke's Hospital - Anderson Campus volunteered their time and resources in support of the Easton Area Public Library. Employees delivered hundreds of gently used books to the library, all of them donated by staff members of St. Luke's Hospital - Anderson Campus.

Over the past few weeks, employees donated paper and hardback books to be sold at a fundraising event to benefit the St. Luke's Hospital - Anderson Campus' Employee Rewards and Recognition committee. The funds raised will be used to recognize employees who go above and beyond in providing compassionate medical care and service to community members. The books that didn't sell during the fundraiser were those donated to the library, which totaled close to 200 books.

According to hospital president Ed Nawarocki, the book drive is more significant than just donating books, "Free libraries, churches, schools and hospitals are fundamental to the health of a community. Supporting each other is a natural way to keep our community strong."
