Vascular Lab earns reaccreditation
January — The Vascular Laboratory at Warren Hospital recently received full reaccreditation from the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories after a rigorous six-month voluntary inspection of staff and facilities.
Warren Hospital’s Vascular Lab is a specialized center providing ultrasound images of the vascular system for the non-invasive diagnosis of conditions including poor circulation in legs and feet and cerebrovascular disease.
Full reaccreditation means certification for full extracranial studies, peripheral and arterial venous studies, and visceral studies. Each of these requires separate applications and is awarded a separate certificate. The accreditation procedure includes a review of the credentials of the directors, physicians, and technicians.
Alberto Estrada, M.D. is administrative director of the Vascular Lab.
