Speech Pathology Services
Perhaps you are having problems with speech or language because of a stroke or head injury. Or you may have a child with a speech or language disorder resulting from developmental delays. Our certified speech pathologists provide evaluation and treatment for a number of conditions.
Adult services
Evaluation and treatment for speech and language problems associated with:
- Stroke or head injury.
- Laryngectomy (removal of the voice box).
- Cleft palate, cerebral palsy or other conditions that may affect the tongue and mouth.
- Poor alignment of teeth or dentures.
- Other conditions including progressive neurological disease, stuttering, atypical swallowing and articulation and/or language impairment.
Services for children
Early intervention by our certified therapists can prevent a child's speech and language disorders from developing into more serious disabilities. We offer treatment for:
- Articulation disorders.
- Language disorders/delays.
- Stuttering.
- Voice disorders.
- Cleft palate speech.
- Hearing impaired speech.
- Developmental delays.
- Cerebral palsy symptoms.
Swallowing services
Swallowing is often taken for granted, but thousands of people suffer from difficulties with this basic human function. Swallowing disorders can be caused by:
- Stroke or brain injury.
- Head and neck cancers.
- Developmental abnormalities.
- Surgical excisions.
- Progressive degenerative diseases (Parkinson's, Alzheimer's).
- The aging process.
