Warren Hospital reorganizes; forms new Board of Trustees
June — Warren Hospital has undergone a corporate reorganization. The reorganization includes the formation of Warren Healthcare, the parent corporation overseeing the hospital and other corporate entities. The Warren Healthcare Board of Trustees is composed of physicians and business and community leaders from throughout the area.
The 15-member board includes Mary Albanese, Robert E. Barlow, Jr., David R. DeGerolamo, Gwen Jacobs, Stephen E. Koeller, Dennis Losco, Richard D. Lowe, Franklin Margolis, M.D., Thomas McGinley, Chairman Robert D. Rumfield, Kurt Schumann, Daria M. Starosta, D.O., and James Swick. Ex-officio members include Ila Shah, M.D. and Thomas Litz, CEO.
Mrs. Albanese, of Phillipsburg, first appointed to the Board in 1977, is a retired business owner. Mrs. Jacobs, of Phillipsburg, was first appointed to the Board in 1995. Mr. Losco, formerly of Phillipsburg, was appointed to the Board in 1989. He is vice president of Superior Quartz Products, Bethlehem, Pa. Mr. McGinley, of Bethlehem, Pa., a retired former business owner in Phillipsburg, has served on the hospital board since 1986. Mr. Rumfield is president of Candle Artisans, Inc., located in Washington, NJ. A resident of Easton, Pa., he is serving his second term as chairman.
Other former hospital Board members appointed to the Warren Healthcare Board include Mr. Schumann, of Bethlehem, Pa., affiliated with ProPump Services. Dr. Starosta, of Doylestown, Pa., is the medical director of the Emergency Department at Warren Hospital. Mr. Swick, a practicing attorney with an office in Phillipsburg, has served on the hospital Board since 1990.
New members of the Healthcare Board include Mr. Koeller, vice president and investment advisor for PNC Wealth Management, Bridgewater, and Mr. Barlow, executive vice president for ADP Barlow Insurance, specializing in community associations and public entity business in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and South Carolina.
Mr. DeGerolamo is president of AMG Solutions, LLC, president of the Town Council in Phillipsburg, and serves as chairman of the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission. Mr. Lowe is chief executive officer of Abilities of Northwest Jersey, Inc. Dr. Margolis, a Board-certified urologist affiliated with Summit Urology, Phillipsburg, is on staff at Warren Hospital.
Dr. Shah is a neurologist and is president of the medical staff at Warren Hospital, and Mr. Litz joined Warren Hospital in January as the new president and CEO.
