Warren Hospital celebrates National Nurses Week

May — Warren Hospital joined hospitals across the country in celebrating National Nurses Week 2009. The theme of this year’s event was “Nurses: Building a Healthy America.’’

Each year, Warren Hospital hosts a celebration during this week to raise awareness of the value of nursing and to help educate the public about the role nurses play in meeting the health care needs of the community. National Nurses Week is celebrated annually from May 6, also known as National Nurses Day, through May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.
