Ventilator
This course is designed for the healthcare professional caring for the mechanically-vented patient. Course topics include indications for use, modes of ventilation, weaning strategies, drug therapy, sedation, vacations, and VAP protocols. Hands-on demonstrations with vents and bipap management are included. The class concludes with ABG interpretation.

Preceptor
This course teaches the nurse to precept a new staff member. Course topics include assessing for learning needs, making a teaching plan, implementing the plan, and evaluating the result. It is a must for new preceptors and a great refresher for current preceptors.

EKG
This basic EKG rhythm recognition course is for the healthcare professional with limited or no previous EKG experience. Learn the tools necessary to perform basic electrocardiogram (EKG) interpretation. To facilitate learning, a systemic approach for interpretation will be used throughout the course.
Cost: $170 (includes all course materials except calipers)

Hemodynamic
This course will provide the critical care nurse with the basics of invasive line monitoring. Course topics include reviews of arterial line, CVP line, and pulmonary artery catheter monitoring, waveform analysis, cardiac functioning and potential complications. Case studies are included in order to help the participant interpret data and apply the principles of hemodynamic monitoring.
Cost: $40 (includes all course materials)

This course will provide the nurse with the theoretical knowledge needed for initiating and maintaining intravenous therapy. Course topics include a review of PICC and POC catheters. This class consists of a self-study module followed by a hands-on module in a classroom setting.
